What Pinball Scout is

Pinball Scout is a scouting notebook for competitive pinball: the games at a venue, your setup notes on each one, and live standings and queues for tournaments run on neverdrains, Match Play and Pinburgh. It is built and run by one person. There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics services.

What we store

• Your account: a username, a password hash (never the password), and, if you add one for account recovery, an email address. A guest account has none of these.
• Your content: the venues you import, your setup notes, strategies, ratings, plunge gauges and any photos you attach to them. Notes are private to you unless you share a venue with a group you chose or publish a strategy.
• Session and device records: a session token so you stay signed in, the app version, and, if you turn on widgets or watch complications, a push token so we can refresh them. Push tokens go to Apple's push service and nowhere else.
• Tournament lookups: the tournament and player ids you follow, so live views and alerts know what to watch.

What we do not do

• Location is used on your device to sort venues by distance and to find nearby venues on Pinball Map. Your location is not sent to our server and is not stored.
• We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone. Requests to neverdrains, Match Play, the IFPA, Pinball Map, the Open Pinball Database and Twitch go through our server so those services see our server, not you; we send them only the ids needed to answer the lookup.
• We keep no advertising identifiers and do no cross-app tracking.

Where it lives

Data is stored with Cloudflare (Workers, D1 and KV) and served over HTTPS. Backups you export are yours and stay on your device or wherever you put them.

Deleting your data

Settings, Account, Delete account removes your account, every record you own, your sessions and push registrations, immediately. Guest accounts are deleted automatically after seven days. You can also email hello@pinballscout.com and we will do it for you.

Children

Pinball Scout is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
